The KwaZulu-Natal Craven Week and the Academy Week teams will get their first taste of action when they take on two Sharks Academy u19 Invitation teams at Kingspark on Monday, 18 June 2012 starting at 2:30pm.
There are also plans for the Craven Week team to play against the Sharks u19 team on Wednesday, 20 June 2012 at the same venue. However whether or not the Michaelhouse or Hilton representatives will be available for the Wednesday clash ahead of their big season-ending derby, remains to be seen.
The Sharks Academy games are a substitute for the Pumas under-18 matches, which could not be held this year due its clash with the KZN private schools fixtures that have been in place well before the start of the season.
Academy Week will be held at the Boland Stadium in Wellington starting on 01 July 2012. Here the KZN team have a Day 1 assignment against the South Western Districts Eagles.
Although Craven Week starts at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Port Elizabeth on 09 July 2012, the KZN team will arrive in the city on 04 July for a pre-tournament training camp. Free State are their Day 1 opponents when the event kicks off.
The relevant selectors decide the second and final round match-ups at both Weeks.
is there any feed back from this game or practice
@ZnCoach: Thanks. I’ve changed it.
It seems like this Monday “game” has now been downgraded to a practice match due to the number of injuries amongst other things.
I’m lead to believe the game is at the stadium today and not at Glenwood
