The Beeld Trofee quarterfinals for macro schools will be played on Saturday,04 August.
The noticeable absentee from the line-up for this knockout stage is Centurion. The Blue Bulls region school has had an excellent season so far and are currently ranked no.9 in South Africa. Centurion ran into difficulties against another 2012 overachiever in the form of Kempton Park on Tuesday. Although the match ended in at 19-all, the application of the first try-scorer advances Beeld Trofee rule resulted in Kempies going on to the quarterfinals. Klofies and Garsies, two SA top 10 schools are the favourites at the moment.
