Regstelling – by Drakenstein Munisipaliteit navraag gedoen.

@Veddie (Comment #54) Ons het dieselfde gehad by ‘n Aloe Beker finaal. JBay se /11 toernooitjie. Skeidsregter het by Olimpiese Spele 7’s geblaas, maar die verloor span se ouers was vas oortuig hy het sy wit kierie by die huis gelos. Ouers suig…

In 2004, gaan kyk ek ‘n game by HTS Springs. 🤣🤣

Lekker lag ek nou…klink amper soos n myne is grooter as joune speletjie!!
#Chronicle – I understand your point to focus on the positive and there are many indeed BUT that 1 insident will stick with me because I have seen the embarrassment on the boy’s face to go and ask his dad to leave the field for the game to carry on!

Daar was Saterdag 11 800 mense by die Middelburg Derby. -) Paarl Gim vs Boishaai – 26 000 -) Grey vs Paul Roos – 22 000 -) Hilton vs Michaelhouse – 20 000 -) Affies vs Pta Boys high – 20 000 -) Maritzburg College vs Hilton College 18 000

An intersting fact in life is how people focus on the negative and sort of ignore the positive, which normally overshadows the negative.
Hardly ever do we see comments on the 99% of spectators who behave and support. The focus is so much on the one or 1% of badly behaving spectators who you will find everywhere. And this is the story discussed at get togethers.
Call them out, yes, but give more credit to the majority as they matter more.

    Go Middies.

3 Scenarios : Grey v Paarl Boys High
    Grey 26 – 28 Paarl BH
    Grey 31 – 28 Paarl BH
    Grey 41 – 28 Paarl BH
If the field is heavy, but playable, Paarl could win a tight and close encounter (scenario 1). If the sun is out Grey will edge it (scenario 2), and if the conditions are drier on Friday and Saturday with a firmer surface, expect Grey’s tempo game to overcome the power, structure and set piece potency of the Paarlites (scenario 3).

Fully rested and full strength I’d imagine also given that there was no game last weekend.
Boland don’t look that strong this year, I don’t think that was much of a shock result. I must say however that that was our best showing this season so far, particularly the first half. I think beating Westville was a greater achievement.
As HSBR mentions, earlier on in the season, maybe I’d have held more hope, but the dust has settled now and we can see things more clearly. We haven’t gotten going really, and it won’t start AWAY at Affies. Best case scenario is your scenario 1 in my opinion, but whereby it never feels like we can win despite being “close”. But hey, who knows, maybe they click and put in a mega performance.

@Kaya 85 (Comment #7) Had it been the first few games of the year I would’ve said it’s a 50/50 and even giving Jeppe a slight edge but it does seem if Affies is peaking at the moment so I think your last score given is the likely outcome

I can’t see Jeppe beating Affies, although it could be close (scenario 1) or even very close (scenario 2). But it could also turn out to be a convincing 19 point margin, (e.g. scenario 3). If Jeppe supporters can give some insight or inside news, maybe there is another scenario where Jeppe wins, like they did v Boland Landbou or Garsies.

    Can’t wait.
Last term I expected a HS Middelburg win. This one I am going to predict HS Middelburg again.

Waterkloof vs Garsfontein and Oakdale vs Stellenberg.

These seem to be the games to watch this weekend?

Saturday will be sunny in Riversdal, but looks like lots of rain during the week.

Dankie.

En by the way, BAIE geluk met die wen(ne) van MHS oor Menlopark…”if I were a betting man” sou ek sleg geld verloor het, ek het nie daardie uitslae teen Menlo sien kom nie.

It is derby week in Middelburg. Will be interesting to see how the rugby will play out after the weekend’s results. Good luck to all sport codes and sport teams.
