@OomPB, just some perspective on the ‘mental block’, of the 15 players playing for Gim on Saturday, only 2 players have ever lost to Boishaai, namely nrs 4 and 7 that played last year for the 1st team. The matrics in the team played u/19 B/C/D last year and these teams won comfortably. Moreover, in their grade 8 year Gim won the u/14A and B games. The grade 9s only played in their grade 10 year (under 16) and won comfortably. So, there are no scars I can assure you. Having said that, there is great respect for Boishaai and their coaching staff. Sean has had great success against Gim, but the past will have no impact on Saturday. We have an exceptional coaching team, and the team will be well prepared.

Dink ek 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ja, Helpmekaar heelbo en Marais Viljoen laaste. Lyk of Marais Viljoen gerelegeer gaan word en Rustenburg gaan opskuif.

@kantako – wow, I am very surprised by your comments. Looking at the history of this fixture there has been very few comprehensive victories. I certainly expect a close game with the game being won and lost on small margins. Boishaai has a very good team with 4 SA schools players. They have several game breakers that can win the game for them. Gim, on the other hand, has fewer stars but function brilliantly as a team. I saw Boishaai’s game against Bishops and I thought they played really well. Keen to hear more comments on Saturday’s game…

Final stages, semis and finals of NV Cup always very very exciting! You get explosive games, a large number of teams and variables to keep anyone interested…high drama and the unabashed glory of victory…It’s a fantastic breeding ground for the tough, uncompromising breed of SA schoolboy talent.

@Wonder: en Rugbyman. Groot game saterdag.

Pap geduik? Eks nou nie so seker daarvan nie.

So die 2 semis sal by EG en Berepark wees…

Paar goeie games gewees, Gim was in alle aspekte beter as Bosch en het vir n slag goeie positiewe rugby gespeel.

In Beeldtrofee n paar lelike scores.

Well done.

Helpmekaar vs Monument probably the game of the weekend. If Helpmekaar loose this one, they will probably not make it to the semi finals. If Monnas loose this one, they put themselves under much pressure for the cup semis.Waterkloof will give Affies a very tough game this year and it will be my second biggest match of the weekend

@Kaya 85: While i like the close estimate of your prediction, that DHS team is just hot to handle this year for NW. On a different day, DHS could have beaten both Hilton and Mhouse, and probably claimed top spot in KZN themselves. They are playing the match this evening actually under lights, so will be something different either way! Hope the Knights can put some more tries on the board and make them work for it!

Boishaai 24 – 19 Biskoppe (close ..but “konteks”)
    Gim 35 – 20 Bosch (more context)
SACS 25 – 27 Landbou (nice game with bite, no menace)
Wynberg 18 – 19 P Roos (could be even closer)
Grey Gceberha 20 – 58 Grey Mangaung (rotate, sunblock, and enjoy the beach guys)
Outeniqua 26 – 25 Stellenberg (Game of the day …Jade Brigade impressive but home advantage wins it)
Rustenburg 30 – 21 Valia (too far for a day trip)
Monnas 32 – 35 Helpies (yissie mama, stof, ysters, klippe kou, katswink…en dis net die eerste helfte)
Menlo 20 – 22 Marais (is Menlo on the way back, or is it wishful thinking?)
N-heuwel 18 – 33 Garsie Bere (Heuwel has punch without the knockout)
    Nellies 20 – 38 Jansen
Jeppe 28 – 18 KES (turnaround at home)
Voortrekker 40 – 9 Tralies (te veel skietgoed)

I heard Glenwood might play St Albans from the UK next week, Beet might know more. Seems quite a few UK teams are out, playing SA teams Grade 11 or 2nd/3rd teams for better matches.

Lots of big EC games this weekend. Selborne vs Queens in EL should be very close. Kingswood vs Graeme is my pick of the weekend, Graeme have a big chance to pick up a victory. Grey Bloem vs Grey PE is always massive, even if PE are a little shaky.

Several season “make-or-break” games this weekend. Tuisveld en weer kan groot gelykmakers wees.
