@KoedoeBul: Those teams are like GW vs GCB. Let’s hope there no draw and no Post Matrics. Conan “The Destroyer” will cause lots of havoc and damage. 2 3 South 2 3 Suid

@Smallies: @PaarlBok: More Smallies.

@Rainier: I agree, in general he did a good job, perhaps 2016 is too fresh in my memory, like I said it is what it is, and we will try again next year. I think both teams will be very strong again next year, 9 players from prg that played yesterday are currently in grade 11, so upwards and onwards!

@kokkie: I know Ben Crause and his family and I can assure you they are honorable people, he is an A Panel SA ref and the schools were lucky to have him for the fixture.

Even at Superrugby level with two professional AR’s and TV ref they still get stuff wrong, so to fixate on a certain call that might or might not have been a penalty in such a brilliant match just seems petty.

@Rainier: agree, great game, in the end a single penalty was the difference between endi g no1 or 3. It could easily have been other way around with a penalty in the 71st minute, but it is what it is, its a win for Grey and well done to them, this is after all the only thing that will show in the record books a few years from now.

Affies was vir my terleurstellend.

Ek was by die vorige twee PRG vs Grey Bloem wedstryde.

@Bush: I cannot understand why people are moaning about the ref, but looking at the moaners I do understand how small their world really is.

This is one of the best schoolboy rugby games I have ever seen and both teams can be incredibly proud of the product they delivered yesterday. The tackling was ferocious, PR’s counter-rucking is the best I have seen in a long time, Grey lifted their game every time it was needed and the pace was relentless. Every time PR took the lead I had a queasy feeling they might score again and run away with it, but Grey teams never give up.

A hat tip to both schools…

@Stier: I don’t the ref robbed PRG of the game. The ref made or missed so things for both sides. At the ruck PRG were fierce and at times didn’t roll away or had hands in the ruck ref missed that. As far as the high tackle, yes I do agree. The 1st team game was the only game which the ref blew up for high tackles. All the other games on Hoof Veld no high tackle calls. All the refs were society refs. It was a great day of rugby. PRG can hold their heads up high, they have the players. Just need to get the system and coaching 100% and they will be in it to win it??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

@Djou: What are you on about, do you even read the blog? Moan? I made a observation about the ref, I have no loyalty to PRG or Grey but respect both teams for what they have done this season. Fact is the ref made some rubbish calls at the end of the game. Wake up those glasses are blinding you. Buddy I life in St Rand nothing worries us. Brakpan by the see. How is that boy you tried to “help”.

@kokkie: It’s the best PRG side I have ever seen. They played awesome rugby this season and it proved how good or lucky Boishaai have been over the last three seasons. To win all your games in SA SBR for three seasons is no easy task. One or two bad decisions and it’s all over.

@Leelu: I don’t know the ref but looking at his decisions at the end of the game he missed a clear high tackle and made the strangest maul call I have ever seen. I could be wrong but please explain those decisions to me so I can understand.

Sjoe !

@warriors7: Grey is the benchmark in SBR and they have been that for many decade’s. It does help if there is only one school in a whole province that can play competitive rugby.

I said the other day PRG will have to do something because they don’t have much outside their senior teams. They won very few games against Boishaai this year at Makotter. Their two senior age groups were very strong right through u14 to u16 but that has changed. I guess a Rupert can fix that for them?

Sorry PRG this ref just robbed you from a win. From the last scrum a clear tackle around the neck from Grey, no penalty because ref knows PRG can kick a penalty from there. Moments later the strangest maul call in SBR history. Pity such a awesome game gets spoiled by a dishonest and/or incompetent ref. Who was this knuckle head?

In any case we’ll done two both teams it was a good effort. So nobody went green this year in SBR?

    Full time: Rondebosch 29-24 SACS

With 14-men for about 50 minutes of the game, and being down 7-24 at Half-Time, Bosch remarkably turned it around to get the win in the second half.

Should give us a big confidence boost going into the big derby against Bishops next week.

@Smallies: Real pity it’s not being broadcast in any media.

@BoishaaiPa: I keep reminding people about what happened in 2012…Dale went to the game with just one loss in the season, Queens had lost 3 in a row…. Then bang they smashed Dale 28-0 in that last game. Beware of the wounded Kudu

Paul Roos v Grey College is gonna be a cracker! I think Paul Roos have a phenomenal team this year and should win it, but can never write off College, who are also have a great year.

In the Cape, the two southern suburb derbies are set up nicely: Bishops v Wynberg should be a humdinger and could go either way, and SACS will be determined to avenge their defeat last term to Bosch. I’m confident Bosch will get the win at home, but anything can happen in a derby. It’s a pity that neither derby is being streamed on SSL, and a rather strange decision actually on their part considering the interest in these fixtures….anyway.

n Paar lekker interskole kragmetings hierdie naweek waarby Wes-Kaap skole betrokke is. My voorspellings:

    Grey teen Paul Roos

@chief: Ek help bietjie by JBay. Ons het gister ‘n baie suksesvolle dag gehad by Stulting.

Another big derby is Queens vs Dale although I cant see how Queens will take this one with the form they have shown this season. Stellies vs Durbies is the local flavour of the weekend in the Northern Sub.

You are missing the biggest derby in the Eastern Cape today.

Stulting vs Jeffreys Bay is like the Capulets and the Montagues – it is much more important than life and death…
