Paarlbok wins EOYT Superbru

A late charge by PaulRoosPa was not enough to stop Paarl Gim supporter PaarlBok from claiming the title. Paarlbok finished with a 78.95% accuracy rate and in 1152nd place overall (Top 3%). Well done Paarlbok! Enjoy the juice.

Results wise this proved to be one of the most illogical EOYT’s in a long time. It all started with France, not just beating, hammering the Aussies 33-6 and Argentina handing it to Wales 26-12 on weekend 1. It was followed up with against the odds outcomes such as Samoa taking out Wales 26-19 a week later, Australia coming from behind to beat England 20-14, Scotland losing 21-15 to Tonga on weekend 3 while Argentina got whipped 46-24 by an up to then very average looking Ireland. The biggest shock was saved for last with yesterday’s England 38 New Zealand 14 result. Some might say that Heyneke Meyer’s Bok team having played dreadful rugby when they had ball in hand and still managing to go through the tour unbeaten was the biggest surprise of all.

Saturday’s other result: Wales 12 Australia 14

Well done to the Capies too – taking the team awards (seems like deja vu after the Currie Cup too!).

Ahhhhhhh Fffffff……… 5th is not too bad. I think there was more chance of winning the Euro Millions than getting all the results correct for this tourney. The Super 15 is the most highly contested Superbru tourney. There are normally more than 100 000 okes playing.
