@Woltrui: As ek ophou praat oor die Bulle, gaan jy ophou praat oor Grey?
Voorts, bele in ‘n goeie bril.

Was by die wedstryd  . Al wie vd Bulle vir my goed gedoen het was nom 5 (jis hy prt baie hahaha, was baie goed in lynstane), nom 2 (kaptein dink ek) en nom 12 (hkm hy replace is weet vader alleen). WP het Bulle oorheers, Bulle te veel gespeel vir “me,myseld and I”.

@Woltrui: Siestog! Kry jou so jammer. Lees weer.

Very interesting looking at the official grant khomo programme it shows which players played u13 CW… I would say roughly only 30% of grant khomo players across all the provinces played u13 CW…

By the way WP beat the lions… province only got their noses in front in the last 10 mins though…

so should be a bulls WP final… bulls have a better team this year than the last two yeara… so it should be a good match…

Ongelukkig!

@knowthegame: Babbelas mentions a fair point that latches on to the point made by the article. Shocking that just 5 boys are from Pretoria. It does not say much for the strength of rugby in Bulls country if so many had to be recruited from elsewhere. And the PDI issue forms a minor part of the problem.
That said, we however need to treat this cautiously as it may be an outlier year. We need to analyse whether this is a trend or one year phenomenon.

@beet: Hi Beet, Elandskraal primary school is not in Pretoria. It is actually in Mooinooi, a small miners town about 35 km from Rustenburg in North West.

This school is 15 km from Marikana where the 34 striking miners were killed in 2012.

@Babbelas: Just for the record. Affies do not buy players, they convince them to join. We are not sure what form the convincing takes on but they are good at convincing!

My o my, and only 1 of the Affie boys coming from a Pta school……and they do no buy players!!! The only 1 coming from PTA is from Wonderboom, at least 15 km away from Affies.

None of their feeder primary schools boys made it….

Proud to see the Eldo boy from Wierdapark in the team.

@beet: I thought that was a mistake, hence I didn’t even notice the Mafikeng error

Katlego is a Sotho name, so he is quite possibly a Pretorian. As for being at Southdowns in primary school…well…I cant prove otherwise, so will have to accept.

@Playa: I was actually really surprised that one Southdowns player is listed as having attended their primary school as well. The school is known to harbour imported rugby players.

@beet: Quite a shocking conversion rate I’d say. Where are the boys that played CW in under 13?

We definitely know how the Border boys got there…we can safely assume the WP…ok, wait…I had promised myself that I will stay away from controversy this week.

@BOG: @Knight_CHS07: Sorry I didn’t know the names of the schools in and round Pretoria so made the assumption that born in Pretoria and attending high school in Pretoria meant probably at a PS in Pretoria

Still 6/23 boys from Pretoria primary schools 3 years later.
