After a 2024 season that promised so much but came with its fair share of letdowns, this has been an excellent year for Wynberg — superbly coached by Justin van Winkel. The team seems to be getting better as the season progresses and even managed to give the Winelands giants a real scare.
It’s another Triple Crown in the bag, with the prospect of a Southern Suburbs Grand Slam season still very much alive.

Yes very happy for the Berg to win the Triple Crown.
They have struggled for whatever reason to put Bosch away in recent years so happy for them to get that monkey off their backs. The return match will determine the overall winner at the end as I don’t see these 2 teams losing to either Bishops or SACS. This year the Berg side have some gas & their centre combo of Ahmed & Gadu are proving a handful to majority of their opponents. I thought they were very unlucky to lose to both Paul Roos & Paarl Boys this year. They just lacked calmness & composure in the last 2-3 min of both matches. I’m very much looking forward to the Paarl Gym clash in a months times especially in the middle of the park, it could be an epic battle as we will witness in my opinion the 2 best centre schoolboy combinations in the Western Cape.
