    ek dink daar groot fout by Bulle.Met Nolis weg na CC dink ek nie die nuwe coach up to standerd nie.Hoekom nie n goeie coach inbring van buite.Die nuwe kerel se CV bietjie dun in MHOP.Sal nie verbaas wees as daar nog n hele paar verlore wag nie

    Ek het die voorreg om die Cheetah bedrywighede op n kort afstand dop te hou sonder om emosioneel betrokke te raak op skole vlak en hoër. Die opmerkings hierbo gee ‘n mens hoendervleis veral in die lig dat die Cheetahs in totaliteit besig is met n bou program oor die volgende paar jaar wat reeds 3 jaar terugh deur die jong speler coaches begin is. Ek hoop en bid hulle verander nie werwer en coach op o19 vlak nie en betaal net meer om te behou. Die kwaliteit speler wat gewerf word, word in meeste van die gevalle oorsien by ander unies, Andre het n vermoe om dieper te kyk en neem dalk die “2de, 3de en selfs 4de beste” in posisie per provinsie en ontwikkel jong talent in die beste in meeste posisies. Die spelers wat Cheetahs toe kom, kom om iets te bewys. Geld, status en blink karre is n 5-7 jaar droom wat van nature sal kom, belangrikste is die speel vir die saak op o21 en 19 vlak. Om hard te werk is nie n probleem en almal besef om die ranks te klim is die beste raad vir enige jongmens of dit nou n loopbaan as n fitter en turner is en of dit nou n student in Stellenbosch is met voete op grond en die beste dokter wil word, hulle almal weet, klim die trappe een vir een. Soos in enige amder situasie is die Pollards, Lambies, Frans Steyn vroee uitskieters maar raar. @muzi ek hoop jy verstaan afrikaans n bietjie, but I just want to say that i am following your commenst and you are a person with vision.

    @ Rugbymal – I would say Cheetahs. Agree with you that Andre is busy doing miracles at Cheetahs :!: . What I like is that he is part of the coaching as well, think he coaches VC Young Guns + U/19 :?: . Being mates with players at jnr level at Bulls its quite interesting listening to them speaking about what goings on and their views etc :mrgreen:

    @ Muzi – You going to watch Friday Bulls vs Sharks at Loftus ?

    @Muzi: Love your inputs and comments and you certainly come across as a man that knows what he is talking about.

    If you today had to make a decision on where you send a child will it be the Bulls? and if not what other Union has actually got their ducks in a row.

    I concur Bulls have a very sound recruitment system….I just believe Ian Schwartz’s role in our past success or some lovers would say “glory days” was underrated…none come close to him when it comes to leadership….Xander’s a level above other “poachers” when it comes to signing elite schoolboy talent and I give him full marks in that department..he should stick to what he’s good at….IMHO he’s completely lost in this role as HP….I don’t want to sound arrogant but a union like the Bulls should be competing for higher honours every year…what happened since 2010 has been a nightmare due to complacency….three times super rugby champions yet we can’t even make a currie cup final it’s borderline criminal…I don’t care about junior level success that only sets the tone for future potential success..what matters most for a lot of PTA/Bulls supporters is winning silver wear…simply put it this way a guy Victor Matfield must stay away from the Bulls he MUST NOT BE THE HEAD COACH…we’re a shambles because of greedy ex players and “boetie boetie”

    @Muzi: The role and requirements of a HPM has unfortunately not been properly defined yet in SA. Hats of to the Bulls though, like it or not, they have pioneered recruitment at JNR level and are still miles ahead, although Bart is catching up fast at the Lions and Andre is performing miracles at the Cheetahs with little support and finances.

    Soon one of the Unions will get it right though, but a HPM with 20+ years experience in business, player/resource management, talent identification and decent rugby knowledge, in equal parts, is a minimum requirement. With the correct system and structure implementation and management in place from u16 to u21 level, acting as a feeder and in conjunction with a co-ordinated national recruitment network, it is really not rocket science. But, this cannot be headed up by ex-players, with vested interests or the albatross of buddies, ever.

    @scrummie: It’s Xander fault that guy thinks he’s the boss at loftus…ARROGANT!!!!….he only gives new contracts to those players “he likes”….”boetie boetie”…….this would NEVER have happened with Ian Schwartz…..we don’t have even have a head coach…Bulls Rugby at the moment is DEAD….just like Border Rugby….won’t be long until sponsors run away…..disgusting!!!

    @scrummie: It’s disgraceful….. Rohan Janse Van Rensburg, WSS, Francois Venter and Jurie Linde were stuffed around by FL hence why they grew fed up and ultimately they left….Xander is a scout nothing more….as a high performance manager he’s out of his depth…..

    It’s arguably the weakest Bulls Under 21 side I’ve seen in a looooooooong time….IMHO lions will win by 30 points…..Duhan Van Der Merwe should be playing CC….
