Regarding our leading rugby schools’ true ages, one of things you probably would not have associated this topic with is subjectivity. The truth of the matter is a fair bit of debate exists surrounding what constitutes the true start date of a number of schools in their current forms, particularly the older ones. It comes about as a result of things like name, location, functioning purpose and/or amalgamation changes at some point in the past. At the end of the day, it really comes down to personal choice as to when the celebrations should take place.
Monnas top 50
@Playa: Selborne will be playing SACS and St Johns. Dale will be playing Kingswood on the first day and SACS on the second.
This years matrics struggled a lot at age group level. But hopefully they rise to the occasion.

@Palma: Seems Selborne will have an u13A festival as well. I know SACS Junior are in for that too. Don’t have all teams attending unfortunately. Your boys are going all out for their 150th.
Hi beet. Would you have any information about which schools will be taking part in the Selborne 150th festival? I see Sacs are in.
More, more, dag se, dag se almal!
I didn’t realise that Garsfontein is such a young school – it makes their achievements (academics, rugby, etc) quite remarkable.
Hopefully, Muir will get to have a major celebration this year, befitting of their prestigious 200 year status. Also, I wonder what will happen to all the schools that turned 100 or 150 in the past few years (Affies, Helpies, Monnas, Kearsney, etc) – e.g. will they get to host belated celebrations this year?
