Things didn’t go according to plan for the KZN Academy team on Day 1 in Wellington. They went down 34-19 to South Western Districts, this after being just 14-15 behind at the halftime break. It seems like disciple was a major cause for concern with no fewer than three yellow cards being issued to KZN players during the match.…
There wasn’t much to talk about in the first half except the fact that the Pumas dominated every department and scored two unanswered tries. The only positive that KZN could take out of the first half was a long range penalty from Joubert who got it over from his own 10m line. Pumas led 14 – 3 at the break.…
The Sharks under-19s traveled to Winterton, a little town sort of midway between Escourt and Ladysmith on the KZN map, for a Currie Cup warm-up match against the Free State on Saturday 30 June.…
