@cappie.

Hopefully a clean memorable game up between Glenwood and Affies. I know just like College the Glenwood boys will be extra motivated to beat Affies. Being at Affies it will be that much harder to come away with a win

@Gungets Tuft: Suffink is really wrong with the plateau dwellers at Affies. Every team is milking them. They were very lucky to beat Jeppe and Centurion, otherwise it could have been worse, and not that it is not bad enough. It may be time to rethink the way they do things at the plateau. To stick with teachers only to coach the dwellers may be something of the past. Professional support may became handy at that level. They had an extraordinary team last year and talent got them through. Talent cannot win you every time. During an average year, you need to be able to adapt and come up with plans of making a success.
Affies have enormous talent at the under grades at the moment, but personally I think they should step up to a next level next year if they want to become the number one again. They should blend the talent with professional training to become superior. By not doing that, they allow the other schools to level the field with them.

@Tjoppa: As usual, your intellectual contribution- outstanding. Where did I mention GCB? If they had 9 players in the SA squad, even 4, despite not having lost a match so far, I would have also asked questions because they do not have some of the outstanding individual players of the past. But as a team, at least they contribute.

@Grasshopper: Not wanting to put the mockers on, but the Affies team is not short of talent, so when they click they are going to look good. It’s a matter ot time – some people say next year, but it can happen at any time. Good luck though, we need the finfoots to win rather than the plateau dwellers. Follow a Twitter account called AffieOuer – suffink like that – will keep you up to date with the day.

@GreenBlooded: I suspect that if Glenwood beat Affies this weekend, even if College beat PBHS, then those positions will reverse again. Wynberg beating Rondebosch will do their ranking no good at all, but if Bishops find a rabbit (easily possible) against Paul Roos it will cause a big swing for those two.

Waterkloof don’t want to stumble against Kempton becuase that will drop them right down the rankings.

The battle for KZN is over, those rankings are cast in stone with the Round Robin being the only way of really ranking. The Goldstones match next week is for pride, going to be epic.

@Babbelas: Ja ek hoor.

@BOG: I most certainly do not agree with all the Bulls players. In fact, some selections from the Bulls bogles the mind. However, the players don’t choose themselves.

    Therefore, I support the team.

@BOG It must be the only place on earth when proven statistics of players does not count at all. If……. for whatever reason the team are not selected on CW performance only, then who judge the boys on past performance that are spread over a vast area in SA. Then…. if it is CW only……why does the team selection look so suspicious towards a certain union. I’m sick of “pussyfooters ” on issues regarding all the so called sensitive “crap” that are surrounding our everyday lives,… if you can bullshit yourself and live with it fine,..I refuse to keep quiet. The SA school selection side is not representative of the brilliant talent that we have in SA,..shame on the selectors and the rugby administrators ( bullshitters).

@kosie: Are you REALLY being honest with yourself? Rugby is a team sport and and if individual players have so far been unable to contribute significantly to a TEAM, then Im afraid—. Good and well to maintain a fake silence, but there are times in life, where people should show the courage to speak out. The world around us, is in a sorry state and people keeping quite, is partly to blame for that.

@BOG: Clearly the individual players are more than the sum of the school teams they represent. We will never all agree with selections made, but we are all proud enough to support the team as selected.

Going to watch the big derby in Welkom the weekend. Bound to be a good clash.

Great to see Wynberg back in the top 10, but with it being so close and big games against Bishops and Paarl Gym in consecutive weeks, I’m not sure if they will be able to maintain their position to the end of the season.
