What you on about? This is teachers and coaches. Glenwood have been raided for years on that front. DHS probably took about 10x coaches and teachers when Pinheiro took over there in 2017, Steve La Marque being a key one (Head of Aquatics, recruiting & rugby coach) and since he left swimming and waterpolo have gone to the dogs. Head of Hockey, Head of Sport etc etc. Northwood coerced a good few too. It’s part of life, movement for better prospects, but there has always been an element of enticement. Glenwood have also lost plenty of talented kids to fellow KZN schools, Captains on rugby etc, the school doesn’t whinge or cancel fixtures, they carry on regardless. When it’s reversed we get things like the DHS rugby boycott, Hilton boycott etc…..that is real hypocrisy. Westville not wanting to play during ‘Marne-gate’ in 2012 because he had moved from Pretoria. Payi being exactly the same overage story as Siyabonga Tom, DHS get no heat. Glenwood are always the scapegoat….

Never thought I would witness such hypocrisy, Groenwoud/Glenwood not so happy being on the wrong business end of routing and looting of players.    At least Groenwoud never bought whole towns in the Western Cape like Garsies did. Papier played well this weekend.

Grey, HJS, PRG, Affies, Oakdale, Helpmekaar, Boland Landbou, Rondebosch, Garsfontein all have a high (higher than previous years?) number of regular 1st team players returning in 2025. Suspect it could have a big influence for 2025, but not sure.

Nico Malan op 18 is nie te shabby vir ‘n klein plaas skooltjie nie.

It should be interesting to see how this play out next year. There are a few names that I’ve never seen in the Top100, and I’ll be surprised if it happens. But stranger thinks have, so let’s see.
