Young Muzi (twitter: @muzimsimango) often gets asked if he is a rugby agent. I asked him to pick his Bulls Craven Week team from the last 10 seasons : 2004-2013. Muzi, a die-hard Bulls fan admitted after the exercise that he thought his union were  bang-on when it came to the job of retaining their best local players. Here is what he had:

    . @Muzi: No Muzi I dont agree. Special players must be kept. Apart from Pollard, Ryno Eksteen was the schoolboy player of 2012. He was already a star in the making from 2010. Apart from 10 he will be a wonderful 12 and 15. If the Bulls contractors didn’t sleep we could have signed him. The problem is that the Bulls contractors is not loyal and a lot of quality players from Pretoria is given the cold shoulder. What is the problem at the Bulls Muzi. Why haven’t we won the CC for the past 5? years. Why didn’t we qualify for the semi’s this year. Why did the powers to be at the Bulls allow kids to present us , with catastrophic consequences? I don’t think the problems is with the scouts or even the coach. Management. Contractors. If I am wrong I will appreciate it if you can correct me. As a Bulls supporter I am sick and tired for excuses. I “hate” the WP(When I was in the army I promised myself I would bomb the WCape into the see should I become the President). You can’t help to respect the mountain goats because they use their own talent

Volg die artikels op die blog Mnr Parkie. Daar was reeds ‘n artikel so 2 weke gelede waarin die Bulle te vertel het hoe lojaal hulle is en hoeveel van die suksesvolle O’19’s kom van die BB Craven Week span van 2012. Lees gerus die insette tov die artikel. Jy klink vir my soos ‘n Blou Bul administrateer. Jy trots op die stand van BB rugby?? Waar is die probleem of is alles Hunkie Dory?? Jou sarkasme gaan my nie oorreed tov my siening dat daar ‘n GROOT probleem by die Bulle is nie. My punt gaan nie oor Affies, Kloof, Menlopark of Garies nie. :wink:

    @Parkie:
    That’s what I said to Woltrui it’s the new professional era there is nothing we could have done to keep Mabuza,Justin,Meiring and Eksteen….we will not force players to sign Bulls contracts…If they want to go to another province then they are most welcome.
    IMHO the scouts have done a good job so far most of these players are at the bulls.

    Before Woltrui give any ridiculous an unfounded facts: Interesting fact that the Blue Bulls has contracted all the players as juniors, but 3 of that team namely: Justin Phillips who declined the offer for WP,Richmond Collins who gave up rugby and Thabo Mabuza who was contracted to the BB but changed his mind at a late stage to go to the Lions. All 10 Affies players were contracted,hard done buy again?
