Dis nou werklik ‘n top klas man.

@Ploegskaar (Comment #20)
Oepsie. Bietjie diep in die brannewynbottel geloer.
@Snelvuur (Comment #8)
Oloff….
@Smallies (Comment #9)
@Trots HJS (Tandem) (Comment #14)
I’m not taking away from anything he did during his 17 years at the school – on the contrary, as I mentioned below, I think he made an extraordinary impact on the school. I also agree that the school is in a much better space than before he took over – it has been firmly cemented as a top, top academic institution with a 100% pass rate in most if not all of the past 10 years. I am also aware of the sad personal circumstance you are alluding to – of course, that was absolutely tragic, and I would not wish that on anyone. His resilience to push through personal adversity and continue to serve the school should be, has been and is commended. My comment below was merely aimed at dispelling the notion that he had to retire even though the school actually wanted to keep him around. Do you disagree with what I said regarding the fact that he is taking an early retirement? There’s no rumour in that, you can just look at his age.
@kantako (Comment #15)
100%! Alhoewel na my tyd is hy ‘n legend!
@kantako (Comment #15)
Hy het vir my Geskiedenis gegee in st7 by Stoffberg, was die Eerste span Coach gewees en het my gat gereeld aan die brand geslaan😂😂
One of the good guys.
Oom Vlekkie Aukamp by Stoffberg was ook so ,die nuwe skoolsaal is na hom vernoem
@OUD ANKER (Comment #12)
George Nell by Die Anker ook. Great hoof gewees.
@Snelvuur (Comment #8)
I think it is not appropriate to have unverified gossip published like this. We are talking about a person with a family who worked relentlessly for 17 years for his school and experienced very sad personal circumstances a number of years ago. Your so called insider contacts are misguided. How will you feel if someone gossip like this about you. O yes they cannot because you hide behind another name.
@OUD ANKER (Comment #12)
Yip.
@Smallies (Comment #9)
Piere Edwards van Affies is so ‘n voorbeeld.
@Kaya 85 (Comment #10)
Don’t know ,ar least Grey hasnt been renamed to Volsteed gimnasuim….
@Smallies (Comment #9)
And some of those headmasters they name the whole school after…(Paul Roos, Charlie Hofmyer…wie nog?)
@Snelvuur (Comment #8)
Jy kry natuurlik ook hoofde wat later instellings raak by n skool en selfs na aftrede betrokke bly by n skool
@JongMatie (Comment #6)
@JongMatie (Comment #6)
@Smallies (Comment #4)
Ek verneem hulle wou hom eintlik langer aanhou..
Hoe sing Al Pacino in die rolprent, Scent of a Woman – ”it’s a great day for singing a song, and it’s a great day for moving along”
Exciting times!
Derek Swart gaan gemis word by Boishaai…
@Snelvuur (Comment #2)
I don’t always agree with you, but this point of yours is very true and valid.
Paul Roos has done well in recruiting rectors over the past few years. Appointing experienced headmasters with around 10 years until retirement has worked wonders. It also prevents that you have the same headmaster for 15 to 20 years, which sometimes results in stagnation.
I think Mr. Shaw will be missed at Dale, he has done good work there and will be a welcome boost for Northwood. Mr. Clark, has another two years at House and retiring in the UK.
