    @Queenian: Western Province lol !
    This is a debate that has been ongoing for years now. Paul Roos, Paarl Gym, Paarl Boys’ High play their cricket in the Boland league but not their rugby.
    IMO there should be another team from the Western Cape: either a Country Districts team from the above-mentioned schools plus Boland-Landbou etc or they should select a team from the Southern suburbs as well.
    Many talented youngsters don’t get the opportunity to play at provincial level due to the huge number of players available……and certain schools simply get ignored which in the end is unfair towards the players. Rugby is the biggest loser IMO

    @BuffelsCM: Just the way they split WP/Boland always seemed a bit strange to me.

    @Tjoppa: Tjoppa ek dink nie hulle kan dit bekostig om ouens / skole voor te trek nie: hulle moet alles gebruik tot hulle beskikking.
    Die V d Merwe slot in die B-span se pa, Chris v d Merwe het destyds lank vir Boland agsteman gespeel. As ek dit nie mis het nie, is dit sy eerste jaar onder 18 maar ek mag verkeerd wees.
    Chris rig self al lank Piketberg se O/19A-span af.
    Wat interessant is, is dat dieselfde skool 2 loskopstutte in die A- en B-span het. So of die 1 kan beide kante speel of daar is geen ander loskopstutte beskikbaar in die Boland nie. So ook met die 2 agstemanne. Ek het verlede jaar die Liebenberg-seun sien speel en hy lyk regtig goed. Ek het net so ‘n vermoede dat hy dalk ‘n 5-slot of 7-flank gaan word. Ek weet glad nie hoeveel hy die afgelope seisoen gegroei het nie. Ek gaan probeer om Woensdag deur te ry Wellington toe om na die finale proewe te gaan kyk.
    Om terug te keer na jou punt: daar is beslis ‘n goeie verspreiding van skole in die spanne – soos dit hoort na my mening !!

    @BuffelsCM: Was so twee jaar terug by die finale proewe. Ontmoet toe ‘n oubaas wat dit duidelik gestel het hier word geen skool voorgetrek nie. As ek so die verspreidning van skole kyk sien ek dieselfde is steeds van toepassing. Mieskien kan die mense ons manne hierbo ‘n les kom leer?

    Johan du Toit, lock of Swartland, is the younger brother of Pieter-Steph du Toit;
    No 8 Hanro Liebenberg of Drostdy, is the younger brother of Wiaan Liebenberg, capt of SA U/20 of last year. He was a member of last year’s Craven W side and is a real talent IMO
