  1. If I were to select a ‘SA Festival Dream team” from the matches I watched (I didn’t watch all, only 15, so I might have missed a couple of great performances)

    Affies Loosehead
    Monnas hooker
    Grey tighthead
    Boland 4 Lock
    Boishaai 5 Lock
    Monnas 6 flank
    Grey 7 Flank
    Boishaaai 8
    Grey Scrumhalf
    Paarl Gym Flyhalf
    Boland inside center
    Grey outside center
    Glenwood left wing (Cele)
    Grey right wing
    Boland fullback

  2. @Human Piranha: I really like this team you picked. A number of other good performances during the week but I can’t see that many variations from the boys you have identified. I especially think picking the Gim 10 was great. He has a real general. Watched the Grey 10 vs Garsies. He was off the charts good. Really keen to see the Jeppe 10. BL 15 full of life but still like him better as a 10.

@Smallies: I think the Boishaai 8 provided impetus when required but even still I think he is capable of being a much greater influence on matches. I hope he gets used as a Billy Vunipola type goto man. Monnas no.8 same. Hard when surrounded by such quality forwards but would really like to see him more involved. Grey and Boland Landbou no.8’s great to watch.

  3. Ek is nie seker of dit net die opposisie was nie, maar Brandon se lynstaaningooie het met rasse skrede verbeter. Moontlik die toevoeging van Morne Kruger (ook 2001 SA Skole haker) tot die afrigtingspan?
