South Africa’s under-18 water polo team got off to a losing start in their Group B opener in Perth, Australia. They went down 4-11 to Columbia after leading 3-2 at the half time break. The SA team has a distinctly KwaZulu-Natal look about it with no fewer than 7 of the 13 representatives being from KZN schools. 4 including the captain Franco Conversano are from Clifton College.

story of the kids caught with the matric paper-
http://www.iol.co.za/news/crime-courts/two-held-after-matric-papers-stolen-1.1432434
sad really!!
@star: Just to show how tough they are in the States, they swim in winter and practice rugby on the tennis courts and clean their teeth with steel wool. An as you can see, they play a bit of cricket as well, probably better than their 6th position indicates. They too, had rain.
@ BOG- Do they swim in the FS?
@ Grassy- A double black on the outcome.Maybe some other bloggers will pick a team.
No wonder they lost- not a single Free Stater in the side
@beet: You da Boss!!
Sky Channel 5? I guess that means internet streaming then?
That 1 SA player’s name really is Campbell Gregory and not vice versa
@GreenBlooded: As Die Coach would say on R365 “GO BIG!”
Schedule for champs played in Perth Australia added :smile:
Live on Sky Channel 5 after the cricket
This is the 1st so I just think that the boys must just have fun and try their hardest. I. Think they only got to Australia the day before the game tho so they are likely to get better as time goes.they are obviously tired and the relinquishing of the lead shows this.
GOOD LUCK SA!!!
Also,a lot of these boys are not in grade 12 so that builds depth
Where is this being held? Is it televised? Match schedule?
I put my money on Hungary! Magars!! Good luck to SA though, it’s going to be tough but a great learning experience..
The good money must be on Croatia to win the champs. Tough group for SA.Nice if we could beat Aus though.
