Cricket: Kookaburra Goes For Six With Outreach Initiative

In the month of November, Kookaburra, together with their sponsored players, will raise funds for the East Coast Toy Story Campaign. The sponsors will donate money for every boundary that the sponsored players score. “We’re very excited to be part of this initiative, we aim at touching lives and making a difference out there.” said Pius Nkosi.

This idea came about when Nicola Ludlow (Marketing Director) and Pius Nkosi were playing around with ideas in Nicola’s office. Kookaburra will also donate equipment as this will generate a game where 10 players can be involved at the same time.

This teaches the boys to give back to society and this is the best time to launch such an initiative as we are approaching the Christmas Season. We will be using school boys in the KZN Region. The boys involved are Tyron Koen (Westville), Sibonelo Makhanya (DHS), Tyler Smith (Kearsney College), Kyle Simmonds (Westville) and Tristan Tedder (Kearsney College).

We would like to extend our thanks to all the sponsors for their support. Should anyone be interested in being part of this campaign feel free to contact Pius at nkosp01@wbhs.co.za.
