    @Horsie, agreed but all schools need to plan their fixtures more carefully. Far too many festivals for Glenwood this year, including the age group level. At age group level 12 games a season should be the max and at 1st team level 18 max. This would be a perfect season for me;

    1) Port Natal
    2) George Campbell
    3) Kearsney/KES Fesitval
    4) Kearsney/KES Festival
    5) Kearsney/KES Festival
    6) Affies
    7) DHS
    8) Westville
    9) Pinetown/KZN Development
    10) Hilton
    11) College
    12) Michaelhouse
    13) Kearsney
    14) College
    15) PBHS
    16) KES
    17) Northwood
    18) Grey Bloem

    I would even be happy to drop the Affies fixture…..

    @grassy

    The only reason schools play Pinetown etc is becaause of traditions and obviously to give fringe players a chance. If you are playing very strong teams every week how will the players get a chance besides injury to another player and how will boys recover every week after playing a team of Colleges standard or higher?
    I get that you’ll still have your easier games like my very own DHS but that won’t be in every age group with an example being U14 where many schools were competitive and posed challenges to everyone(besides us of course :wink: ) on a weekly basis?

    @Gungets, it’s about selecting the right fixtures. No point in Glenwood playing Pinetown so that one can be replaced. Also, we are looking for fixtures where the school can match the number of teams, something that College and Westville provide and why we play College twice in a season….KES would be able to match the 27 teams Glenwood can put out….

    @Grasshopper: And yesterday you were worrying about how many matches Glenwood play in a season. Eeisch.

    Welcome Roger, good to have a KES supporter on here :wink: I think Westville and Glenwood are still contracted to Kearsney and College have invited DHS to their festival, not sure about the others. I hope Glenwood get an invite to either KES, St Johns or St Stithians in 2014….

    any idea if any KZN schools will be gracing us Gautengers at the Easter Festivals next year?

    Probably not with College’s 150 and the Sharks recruitment festival (I mean Kearsney)
