On Thursday 26 July 2012, Collegians and Crusaders U18 teams take on the UK touring teams from Warwick School at Crusaders. This is one of the larger touring parties this year, with 62 boys making up the 2 rugby and 1 hockey team. Warwick began their tour of SA in Cape Town, with matches against Wynberg Boys, Bishops, Fish Hoek and Paul Roos. The A team played Wynberg 2nd team and lost 13 – 5, while the B team played the 5th team and won 32 – 0. Then it was on to Bishops and Fish Hoek, where the A team beat the Bishops “Stayers XV” 15 – 12 and the B team lost to the Fish Hoek 1st team 43 – 10. Paul Roos will present an extremely difficult challenge, with the A team facing the PR 2nd / 3rd team combination and the B team up against the 6th / 7th team.
Collegians play the B team at 18H00 and Crusaders play the A team at 19H30. Collegians, who are normally packed with Westville and George Campell boys, should prove far too strong for the B team. Crusaders will field a full line up and features players from a number of schools, including Northwood and DHS. Both should be entertaining games and will be followed by dinner and some socialising.
where is the match report
Warwick A lost to Paul Roos 3rd team 19 – 5 and the warwick B team beat Paul Roos 7th team 26 – 8.
