Noord-Suid, one of South Africa’s two premier schoolboy rugby festivals, will be hosted by a “Suid” school for the very first time in its history. The event will be held at Paul Roos at the Markotter in Stellenbosch. The generous sponsor, NMI Toyota, will stay on board.
Ever since the tournament became a mainstream event on the schoolboy rugby calendar, it has found a home in Pretoria. So, the travel to the Western Cape offers a unique opportunity for several Noordvaal heavyweights who have not found time in their busy schedules to tour the Cape in recent times.
The reason for the change in 2025 is that there are a few necessary and exciting developments at Affies. Among them is a sewage pipe running under the “Plaas” that needs to be dug up and repaired. Additionally, Affies will be adding a 6th star to their facility, with unconfirmed talk of aquatics and gym upgrades. Most importantly for weekend visitors, the Klub600 stand will be improved and have more seating added as a bonus.
@agter_die_pale_pa (Comment #3) daai is ‘n baie goeie vraag!
Enige impak op Affies se tuiswedstryde in 2025?
This is great news. I expect it to be an bi-annual change that will continue in the future. Should also swop between schools going forward.
