KZN T1 league standings 2024

With it being a difficult year to measure the KZN T1 league due to a number of schools not being able to find a free weekend to play, I’ve reverted to a version of the Cape Town Southern Suburbs log to determine a league order. Only adjustment was that Clifton and St Charles are measured using a max of 4 points. Also half points for matches when a return fixture is played.

The scoring methodology seems complicated, is this the standard approach to Union calculations or SBR only? Why not simplify 4 for win 2 for draw, o for loss, done.

Looks about right. Glenwood are likely to lose to Northwood. St Charles & Kearsney favourites too. We could go a whole season with only 3 wins. Honestly, 1996 must be the last time we’ve had such an abysmal season.

Even just the next 1 or 2 games will be very interesting for all KZN teams. NW still to face MBC, MBC to still face Hilton, Michaelhouse to still face DHS, Westville to still play Hilton, Glenwood vs Kearsney etc. Just those games themselves will start to seperate who really will be top in KZN and where teams end up. A lot could mix up still…
